Jennifer explained to The New York Times, “I emailed her after seeing Trainwreck and said, ‘I’m not sure where to begin.’ I suppose I should just say it: I love you.'” Over a trip in the Hamptons, the two immediately became friends and decided to clinch the deal by crafting a story for a film in which Jen and Amy are sisters.
